At CYS, simplicity and customer satisfaction are key. Below we give you a brief overview of our ordering process, so you can see how easy it is to order orthopaedic shoes from us.
In 5 steps the perfect shoe
1
Fitting
Step 1
Fitting
Our CYScan gives you the right measuring equipment. This allows you to accurately measure the customer's feet, using techniques such as a 3D scan, a plaster cast or a traditional impression. This collected data, together with the resulting blueprint, are then sent to our CADCAM department, in both digital and physical form.
2
Lasts and inlays
Step 2
Lasts and inlays
Our CADCAM department designs a last based on the obtained blueprint and dimensional data. This last is then milled and carefully finished. We manually manufacture the required supplement in the required sizes and materials using the last. Both the last and the supplement form the basis for the production of the perfect orthopaedic shoe.
3
Fitting phase
Step 3
Fitting phase
You have the opportunity to check the provisional lasts and supplements for an optimal fit through a fitting shoe for the customer. This process is known as the fitting phase. After this step, an additional fitting phase may possibly take place, using a leather trial shoe or a liner shoe to test the final shoe concept.
4
Shoe configuration
Step 4
Shoe configuration
After fitting the fitting shoe, you and the client choose the right shoe model that meets the specific needs. Then - as an orthopedic shoe consultant - you fill in all the details such as closure types, heel height and outsole choices on the order form or in our CYStore. All collected information is forwarded to our manufacturing department along with the custom lasts and supplements.
5
Direct delivery
Step 5
Direct delivery
Some orthopedic shoe consultants choose to have shoes produced directly without a fitting phase. These orders are often submitted along with a 3D scan or via CYScan. Our CADCAM department sends the orthopedic shoe consultant a screenshot of the created last design. A screenshot of this design is sent to the orthopedic shoe consultant for approval. After approval, the lasts are milled, with or without digital modifications to the last. Then the process of manufacturing the supplements and orthopedic shoes begins. The orthopedic shoe consultant finally receives the shoes according to the arrangements made.
